Hello,
We are improving the way games go live on MindJolt. Starting now, when your game gets approved, it will immediately be publically accessible, enabling you to begin gathering feedback from the earliest users. As before, your game will still wait 1-2 months to be featured in the front page’s “Newest Games” section.

During this quiet time, MindJolt will drive modest amounts of traffic to the game. We hope you will use this soft-launch time period to listen to customers; consider adding a discussion thread in our community and linking to it from the game during/after gameplay. These earliest adopters should provide insights to help you polish the game for its “Newest Games” premier. Games that demonstrate exceptional performance in this quiet period may indeed have their front-page prominence accelerated.

I will be reaching out to developers whose games have been approved and are still 3 weeks or more from launching in the Newest Games section. I’m looking for those who want to leverage player community feedback during the quiet period to refine and respond to customers. If you are in that category, feel free to write me first. My gut tells me that we’ll have some good success stories to tell in a few months time. Join me.
Yours, Marc

Hello,
I’m happy to report that we finally have a working version of inter-level ads operating. See the game Blackbeard’s Island for an example; in that game the inter-level ad appears after every 4th level.

The implementation is still a bit rough, so we’re not ready for a general release in the API. Hopefully that will come soon. Just now we’d like to include more games that use inter-level ads as part of a closed beta. If you want to participate now by adding this revenue increasing approach, please contact me privately at marc@mindjolt.com.
Sincerely yours, Marc
